Cala Pozzolana in Linosa
Cala Pozzolana di Ponente in Linosa, better known as the turtle beach, is characterized by having delimited areas that indicate exactly the place where the turtles leave their eggs and then return to the sea. The Pelagie Islands are in fact among the few Italian lands chosen by the Caretta Caretta turtles, species in danger of extinction, to lay their eggs.
The sea that bathes Cala Pozzolana is limpid and crystalline and presents splendid plays of light. The transparent bottoms also allow the view of fish and local fauna and flora.
