Turio Castle in Alcara di Fusi
The Castel Turio di Alcara Li Fusi takes its name from the founder of the village, Patron Turio, who according to legend was a follower of Aeneas.
Of the castle, located in the ancient Motta district, only one Quadrangular sighting tower perched on a steep and inaccessible rocky pinnacle.
At its feet is the small Church dedicated to the Santissima Annunziata.
Near the Church and the Tower there is a splendid viewpoint from which you can contemplate the entire town on one side and the limestone fortresses of Crasto on the other.
