Calvario Mount in Alcara Li Fusi
The Monte Calvario di Alcara Li Fusi, located on a high rocky plateau in the historic center of Alcara, in the Rocca district, is an open-air site, reachable by a monumental staircase, from which it is possible to enjoy a splendid view over the town and the Rocche del Crasto.
It is a small square closed by a wrought iron gate and surrounded by walls and shrines representing the various stations of the Passion of Christ. In the center of the square are the three ancient crosses of Golgotha, also in wrought iron.
In this place during the Holy Week, the rite of the Via Crucis takes place.
