Epicenter Museum in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto
Epicentro Museum in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto exhibits a collection of painted tiles made by major contemporary Italian artists. It represents an important point of reference for contemporary Sicilian art.
The museum, created by the will of the artist and patron Nino Abate, artist and patron of the arts, exhibits more than a thousand tiles and today constitutes a sort of systematic catalog of the main contemporary artistic currents. It acts as a glue between contemporary art and the ancient art of ceramic production.
Among the artists who took part in this project we mention: Isgrò, Sughi, Accardi, Borgonzoni, Treccani, Guccione, Bonalumi, Mondino, Messina, Caruso, Dorfles, Consagra, Perilli, Cascella, Ceroli, Baruchello, Nagasawa and many others.
