Church of Sant'Antonio da Padova in Castel di Lucio
The Church of Sant'Antonio da Padova in Castel di Lucio is one of the oldest churches in the village.
It was built in 1300 at the behest of a noble family from Castellucce.
According to tradition, it stands in the place where Sant'Antonio , sent by the abbot of Cefalù to visit all the towns of the diocese, arriving in Castel di Lucio he sat down to rest.
Inside the church is kept one of the most representative works of the artist Nicolò Campo: a monumental altar in wood, with relative tabernacle for the Sacrament with a particular automatic opening mechanism. At the top of the altar there is a wooden statue depicting Saint Anthony.
