Baronial Palace in Floresta
The baronial palace is the most important civil building in the village. It stands along the main street and overlooks the small clearing in front of the Mother Church.
The masonry façade is made up of squared blocks interpolated with small stones, parts of tiles and waste materials which give a suggestive polychromy to the building. The exposed masonry facings are marked by corners, and highlight the cut stone used for portals, large windows and corbels. The building features elegant sandstone balconies, supported by corbels decorated with elegant phytomorphic and zoomorphic motifs, and embellished with wrought iron railings.
