Portella Mitta in Floresta represents the starting (or arrival) point of the Nebrodi Ridge hiking itinerary. The path leads up to Serra Merio, in the municipality of Mistretta.
The itinerary crosses high mountain environments, the only high altitude wetlands in Sicily and uncontaminated natural landscapes.
The path is indicated by special signs and, in the areas of greatest naturalistic and landscape interest, there are rest points.
