Church of San Biagio in Montalbano Elicona
The Church of San Biagio in Montalbano Elicona is an ancient religious building which today is in a poor state of conservation.
It was built in 1590 and today is privately owned.
The simple gabled façade features, above the entrance door, a rectangular window defined by a linear stone frame, which is believed to have been inserted in 1800.
The interior, with a single room, has a presbytery placed on a raised level compared to the nave.
Traces of frescoes are recognizable on some walls. Of particular value is a small red granite stoup set on the internal wall of the facade.
