Montalbano Elicona Castle Museum
The Museums of bladed weapons and medieval-Renaissance cordophones are housed inside the Montalbano Elicona Castle.
Two permanent exhibitions have been set up in the main halls of the castle: the exhibition of bladed weapons and that of medieval cordophones -Renaissance.
The White Weapons Museum displays white weapons, dating back to between the 13th and 17th centuries, intended for hunting and the protection of fiefdoms. The weapons, evidence of the defensive ability acquired during the Middle Ages, are displayed on racks where a brief description and the scientific denomination of the pieces on display are given, with area of belonging and dating.
The Museum of Medieval-Renaissance chordophones displays instruments belonging to five centuries of music from the 11th to the 15th century.
