Church of the SS. Salvatore in San Marco D'Alunzio
The Church of the SS. Salvatore a San Marco D'Alunzio is an important building of worship in the village.
It was built in the 12th century on the ruins of what is believed to be a Roman temple dedicated to Augustus.
The seventeenth-century façade, with simple lines , is divided into two orders by a string course frame. The main door opens on the first level, flanked by two large windows. The second order is delimited by two connecting volutes. Next to the building stands the imposing bell tower built in 1571.
Inside the church was once kept the valuable gilded wooden statue of the Madonna dell'Odigitria, today exhibited in the Parish Museum of Sacred Art.
