Museum of Sacred Art in San Marco D'Alunzio
The Museum of Sacred Art in San Marco D'Alunzio preserves an important historical-artistic heritage coming from the churches of the town.
The museum exhibits around 300 pieces including votive offerings, sacred vestments dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, noble coats of arms, reliquaries, canvases, statues, ... Of particular artistic value are: the wooden statue of the Madonna Odigitria, the silver, the bronze tabernacle doors and the bells cast in the ancient foundries of Tortorici.
