The Diocesan Museum in Santa Lucia del Mela is housed in the Palazzo Vescovile and contains the collection gathered by Monsignor Raffaele Insana.
Inside the museum there are three exhibition halls.
In the first room contains a small ethnographic collection, dedicated to the testimonies of local peasant civilization.
The second room houses the Treasury of the Co-Cathedral and the Prelature. Of particular value are: the reliquary in the shape of the hand of Saint Lucia, dating back to the second half of the 17th century, by Francesco Bruno; a statue crown from 1691, in silver and red gems by a Messina silversmith; numerous Ex votos, including a series of numerous apotropaic eyes, in gold and silver foil and a selection of the precious jewels of Saint Lucia.
The third room displays precious sacred vestments , dating from the 16th to the 19th century, evidence of the flourishing production of silk in the territory of the Prelature.
