Museum of Ceramics in Santo Stefano di Camastra
The Civic Museum of Ceramics of Santo Stefano di Camastra is located in the Palazzo Trabia.
The museum retraces the most significant stages in the history of Santo Stefano di Camastra, recounting the ceramic tradition from its beginnings to the contemporary era. Inside the museum spaces, unique and highly valuable pieces are exhibited. There is a large collection of ancient majolica tiles, the true pride of the production of Santo Stefano di Camastra from the seventeenth century to today. A representative series of everyday objects linked to the needs of family and work are also exhibited: the flask, mugs for wine and water, oil lamps with one or more flames, food containers, i, some holy water fonts, containers for water, jars for oil or cereals.
Inside the museum there is also an archaeological section which houses various finds from the various excavations carried out in the neighboring area.
