Capo Zafferano
Capo Zafferano is a place of naturalistic interest: it is a small promontory directly overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea , halfway between Bagheria and Palermo. The area is full of caves, rock walls and Mediterranean plants, furthermore the clear and shallow water near the shore makes it the perfect place for a bathing stop. Among the most characteristic views of the area we remember the Arco Azzurro : a natural footbridge of dolomitic rock, located at an altitude of 11 meters above sea level that connects the two banks of a small and pretty fjord.
In the promontory there are numerous coves between the rocks, many of which offer splendid views of the profile of the cape. The sea that bathes the small beaches is beautiful, crystal clear and transparent.
