Church of Holy Sepulcher in Bagheria
The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is the second most important religious building in the city of Bagheria. It was built in 1734 by the will of Prince Nicolò Branciforti.
Its current structure is the result of several changes undergone over time: the facade is in fact built according to the canons of neo-Gothic architecture, due to an important project of modification implemented in the early years of the last century.
The interior has three naves and there is a great profusion of Sicilian marbles. Among the works of art preserved inside, the monumental urn of the Dead Christ is of considerable value, a work of carving on gilded wood.
