Church of Annunziata in Caccamo
The Church of the Annunciation of Caccamo , of medieval origin, has different architectural styles, because it was built at different historical moments.
The façade, in Baroque style, has two bell towers of different epoch. The oldest is an advanced tower of the castle, the other was created for ornamental reasons.
The church has a Latin cross plan, divided into three naves and surmounted by an octagonal dome from 1762. Above the altar of the apse, greater triumphs the Annunciation of Mary, a precious canvas by Guglielmo Borremans. There are also stuccos by Serpotta and Sanseverino, plaster medallions by Filippo Sgarlata, frescoes by Gianbecchina.
