Documentation Center on Mafia in Corleone
The Anti-Mafia Documentation Center , also known as C.I.D.M.A., was set up to show the world what the mafia was and what it is today, by means of a historical excursus that goes from its birth to the present day. The center is divided into 3 rooms: the Stanza dei Faldoni houses the documents of the famous "Maxi trial", the testimony of the work of magistrates such as Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, who paid with their lives for their commitment in the fight against the mafia; the Room of Messages that collects the photos taken by the Sicilian Letizia Battaglia that immortalize the tragic mafia murders of the 70s and 80s; finally the Room of Pain where the photos taken by Shoba Battaglia are collected, showing the desperation felt by those who have lost someone to the mafia.
