Church of the Due Rocche in Corleone
The Chiesa delle due Rocche in Corleone , located at the foot of the mountain and a few steps from the entrance that leads to the waterfalls of the same name, stands out for its simple structure, white among the rocks and vegetation.
It was built by the will of the priest Smiriglio, and inaugurated on May 26, 1651. Tradition has it that the church was built on the spot where, in a hole in the rock, a picture of the Virgin was found, presumably hidden to protect it from domination .
The ancient painting is exhibited above the altar and represents the Madonna is about to breastfeed the Child.
