Church of Santa Caterina in Corleone
The Church of Santa Caterina in Corleone is located in the heart of the historic center of the city.
It is believed that the church was built to replace the pre-existing Church of the Trinity, which was probably the ancient Mother Church of Corleone, and which it was later abandoned for unknown reasons.
The Santa Chiara Institute founded by Mother Teresa Cortimiglia in 1922 is annexed to the Church of Santa Caterina, whose remains are kept inside the church. Today the institute has become the Mother Teresa Cortimiglia Museum.
