The library houses rare Greek codices strong> and valuable 16th century books, and is home to an important ancient book restoration laboratory.
Today the library has over 11,000 volumes, of which about 1,500 make up the ancient collection.
Among the pieces kept in the library, there are some truly precious ones: three Greek codes from the 14th-16th centuries; an incunabulum, about 350 editions of the 16th-17th centuries, of which a hundred in Greek; over 320 works published in the 18th century. Alongside hagiographic texts, a large and selected collection of liturgical ones, according to the Greek-Byzantine rite, numerous works relating to various fields of knowledge can be found as evidence of the vastness of interests of the monks who collected them.
