Cubula in Palermo
Cubula di Palermo, also known as Little Cuba, is a small Arab-Norman building in Palermo.
The Cubula It is located where the waters that fed Lake Alberira, now drained, and is located inside the immense garden of the Genoardo Park wanted by King William II of Sicily. Inside the Norman royal park it was possible to admire numerous kiosks, such as the Cuba soprana then incorporated in the eighteenth century in Villa Napoli, and noble residences such as the Cuba Palace.
The Little Cuba has a square plan with pointed arches on each side decorated with rusticated bands and surmounted by a hemispherical dome in the Arab-Norman in the typical red color.
