The Diocesan Museum of Palermo is located inside the Archbishop's Palace.
The museum is spread over 15 rooms and tells the more than eight centuries of history of the Palermo Church. In the museum about two hundred works are exhibited, including paintings, sculptures and decorative works of art, mostly coming from destroyed Palermo churches, no longer officiated or not in good safety conditions.
Among the works on display, we mention: the mosaic with the praying Madonna, the Gothic-flamboyant trifora of Catalan derivation, the Madonna della Spersa, the Role of the deceased brothers by Antonio Veneziano, the Coronation of Santa Rosalia by Vito D'Anna, the Young Reclining Knight by Francesco Laurana and the frontal with the Presentation of Saint Rosalia to the Virgin, embroidered in silk and coral.
