Case D’Alia Antiquarium Museum
The Case D'alia Antiquarium Museum stands at the foot of Monte Jato , it is housed in a beautiful 19th-century block of flats.
The museum exhibits some of the most significant finds from the countryside of excavation on the remains of the ancient Greek city of Ietaas, or Ietas of the Roman age, on the southern slope of Mount Jato, destroyed in 1246 by Frederick II of Swabia after a long siege; among these, local and imported ceramics, architectural and vascular material and five limestone sculptures from the 3rd century BC. that adorned the Greek theater of the city, of which part of the roof is reconstructed in a room of the museum.
