Planetarium in Roccapalumba
The Roccapalumba Planetarium allows the simulation of the celestial vault inside a dome of 6 meters in diameter.
The external dome of the planetarium, made of refracting steel, presents a particular and suggestive optical refraction effect.
Inside it consists of a sphere on which holes are made which allow the projection of all celestial objects visible to the naked eye, both in the Northern and Southern hemisphere, giving the visitor the sensation of touching them with his hand.< br> Inside the Planetarium it is also possible to observe the sky at various times of the year, at different latitudes and at all hours of the day, to simulate sunrise and sunset and to distinguish the various constellations.
