Church of Maria SS Annunziata in Termini Imerese
The Church of Maria Santissima Annunziata in Termini Imerese dates back to the early seventeenth century and was built on the remains of a previous medieval church.
On the outside, the beautiful dome in blue majolica dominates which rests on a high octagonal drum surmounted by a dome.
The facade has a portal dating back to 1634 flanked by two other smaller ones. The complex is preceded by a garden which is accessed from a rich eighteenth-century portal surmounted by a stucco Annunciation. A double ramp staircase follows which allows access of medieval origin.
Inside there are several works of particular value among which the marble group depicting the Holy Family stands out, the work of Andrea Mancino from Palermo and Francesco from Carrara Li Maistri.
