Civic Museum of Terrasini
The Regional Museum of Terrasini was born, in April 2001, in the Palazzo d'Aumale site.
The nineteenth-century architectural building recognizable by its pastel pink liberty facade, which stands on the seafront of Terrasini, was built by the Prince of Partanna and Duke of Floridia, Don Vincenzo Grifeo, and later acquired by the Duke of Aumale, son of Louis Philippe, King of France and Maria Amelia of Bourbon, with the aim to arrange the warehouses for storing the wine, which the Duke produced on his Zucco farm, not far from Terrasini.
Since 1984 the building has housed the civic museum.
The museum is divided into two sections: the Historical-ethnographic museum of the Sicilian S. Ventimiglia cart with avant-garde multimedia installations and the Civic Museum of Natural History . Inside the museum there is a section dedicated to fishing boats : dozens of wooden models show the variety and beauty of fishermen's tools of the past.
