Cataldi Palace in Terrasini
The Palazzo Cataldi in Terrasini is the ancient summer residence of the Princes La Grua di Carini .
The building has a simple rectangular plan spread over two plans. The palace, Timpani, in eighteenth-century style, is characterized by the presence of pilasters and a colonnaded portal.
The facade is extremely simple with several windows on the first floor and also on the second. There are no balconies. Above the entrance door there is also the ancient coat of arms of the La Grua feudal family who had the building erected. Inside there is a small cloister bordered by a beautiful colonnade connected by pointed arches.
The interior was remodeled during both the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and has not maintained its original structure. Palazzo Cataldi is currently the seat of the Claudio Catalfio municipal library .
