Church of San Vito in Vicari
The Church of San Vito a Vicari is an important building of worship in the village.
The date of construction of the church is not known but it is certain that the church of San Vito already existed in the second half of the 16th century, in a area which at the time was open countryside. Since its construction it was the seat of the Confraternity of the Crucifix. Over the centuries it was subject to various renovations, the most important dating back to 1759 when, at the behest of the priest Andrea Anzalone, important restorations were carried out and the bell tower was built.
Inside the church there are works of notable artistic value : the wooden statuary group of the Holy Family dating back to the 18th century; the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, a nineteenth-century work by Bagnasco; the large (1.90 meters high) polychrome wooden statue of San Vito dating back to the last years of the 16th century.
