The Museum of Sacred Art in Chiaramonte Gulfi is one of the eight museums that make up the rich museum network of this village.
The museum's exhibition space is divided into four sections dedicated to religious rites, plastic art, painting, all furnishings and ceramic coating.
The section dedicated to religious rites exhibits Vestments and Sacred Furnishings including precious copes in gold and silk, various chasubles, a silver monstrance with the statuette of Saint Catherine, silver chalices, an altar cross in mother-of-pearl, very fine stoles, surplices and capes.
The plastic art section collects terracotta sculptures by master Giuseppe Criscione and his sons Alberto and Paula. There are over thirty statuettes of the Ethnographic Crib of the Iblei in the classic style of Criscione, known throughout Europe. The Crib is reconstructed on a model depicting elements of the architectural and environmental heritage of Chiaramonte.
The pictorial section exhibits some canvases by S. Montanucci which reproduce the interiors of the Churches of San Giovanni Battista, of the SS . Salvatore, San Vito and the Sanctuary of Gulfi.
The section dedicated to furnishings houses a collection by Giacomo Alessi, a craftsman of European fame.
