The Ornithological Museum in Chiaramonte Gulfi exhibits the collection of the brothers Paolo and Giuseppe Azzara, started around the 1950s. This collection consists of more than 600 specimens, some rare and significant for Sicilian ornithology, others very rare for Italy and some locally extinct or extinct at a regional and national level.
Among the most valuable specimens, the Imperial Raven stands out , the Snow Owl and the Royal Kite. Of particular interest are the sections dedicated to Eagles, Vultures and Griffons.
The specimens on display are perfectly embalmed and in excellent condition.
