Embroidery Museum in Chiaromonte Gulfi

The Museum of Sicilian embroidery and parade in Chiaramonte Gulfi exhibits furnishings, furniture, photographs, precious handcrafted tools, and reconstructs the environments in which the unmistakable and increasingly rare embroideries of the sfilato siciliano.
Among the objects exhibited in the museum of particular value are: a precious wooden frame; more than two hundred pieces of curtains, tablecloths, towels, lampshades, sacred vestments; period looms and tools of the Sicilian 18th century.
In this exhibition we also go to grasp a historicity of the exhibited pieces and many works have a precise dating referable to periods and artifacts between the end of the eighteenth and twentieth centuries: Caterina de 'Medici, Empire Style...
