The museum includes a significant number of ethnic-tribal instruments, coming from remote areas of the Central Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Papua and New Guinea in particular.
Of particular value are: the collection of zanze, i.e. plucked idiophones; three splendid Argentine charangi made from armadillo carapace; balalaikas from Slavic countries; a birimbao from Brazil; three Indian sytars.
