Naselli Theater in Comiso
The Naselli Theater of Comiso is the center of an incessant theatrical activity, rich and of quality.
Its construction dates back to 1841, but from historical sources it is certain that the city of Comiso had already a theatrical structure between the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. In 1856 the façade was renovated and took on its present appearance. At the end of the seventies of the last century, the theater was rebuilt and only the facade will be kept of the original building.
The theater has a façade consisting of a Doric-Sicilian portico, with pillars and pediments made of white stone from Comiso . The Naselli Theater is small with its 264 seats but very elegant.
Many protagonists of the Italian theater have performed at the Naselli theater in Comiso.
