Church of Sant'Anna in Monterosso Almo
The Church of San Giovanni in Monterosso Almo dates back to 1652 and is in Baroque style. It belonged to the Reformed Friars Minor. The Franciscan origin has meant that the baroque that covers it was simple and not opulent. The vault is covered with frescoes representing the life of St. Francis. Of particular value is the marble balustrade that separates the presbytery from the nave.
The current conversation circle donated to lay citizens also belonged to the friars, furnished with early 20th century furniture.
The Church of San Giovanni is today deconsecrated and used for events and exhibitions.
