Calaforno Forest Park
The Calaforno forest park is a wooded area that extends between Monterosso Almo, Giarratana and Ragusa. The name "Calaforno" derives from the "calaforno cave", an artificial underground structure from prehistoric times.
The park consists of a hilly green area, sloping down towards the sea, which presents an arboreal cover basically represented by Aleppo pines and, along the paths, by some oriental plane trees which give the area a very suggestive aspect.
Inside the park there is an area equipped with wooden benches and tables.
