Santa Rosalia Lake
The Lake of Santa Rosalia is located in a natural quarry on the Iblei Mountains, formed following the damming of the waters of the Irminio River.
The lake is located in a very suggestive natural context, it is surrounded by hills entirely covered by woods, and its banks, very jagged and full of inlets, are ideal places to practice spinning in areas sheltered from the wind. perfectly inserted into the landscape, becoming a favorite destination for numerous species of migratory birds that find food in abundance here. There are also various species that nest in this area, including the Raven, the Kestrel and the Red Kite.
From Lake Santa Rosalia it is possible to reach Cava Gria, which takes its name from the homonymous stream that crosses it. from which it is possible to enjoy a spectacular view of the dam of Santa Rosalia and the Ragusa plateau.
