Punta Braccetto Beach
The Punta Braccetto beach in Santa Croce Camerina is located near the Cava Randello integral nature reserve, in a very suggestive stretch of coast. It is a small beach of fine and golden sand, lapped by a clean and crystalline sea with sandy and shallow bottoms near the shore, and bordered to the west by the ruins of an ancient watchtower, Torre Vigliena built in the sixteenth century to defend the territory from pirate attacks. Given the presence of the tower, the beach is also known as Vigliena beach.
The entire stretch of coast takes the name of Braccio della Colombara and has many small inlets, called by the locals "canals", used in ancient times as a landing place.
The waters that bathe the Punta Braccetto cliff are a favorite destination for snorkeling and scuba diving enthusiasts given the richness of the seabed. the beach has free areas and several bathing establishments.
