Sampieri beach in Scicli
The Sampieri beach is located in the Pisciotto district, in the Scicli area, east of the small fishing village of Sampieri. It is a long beach of golden sand protected by a small forest area with a seabed that slopes gently towards the open sea. At one end of the coast stands the Penna furnace of Punta Pisciotto , an interesting ruin of industrial archeology, made famous by the fiction of Commissioner Montalbano. Due to the presence of this ancient brick factory, the beach is also known as the Pisciotto beach. Close to the town of Sampieri there are car parks and various services. The beach is free.
