City Palace in Avola
The palace of the City of Avola is a valuable building in neoclassical style.
It was built in 1863 when the civic council of Avola decided to build the Municipal House by acquiring part of the convent of the Dominican Fathers. It was built to a design by Salvatore Rizza and completed in 1870.
The city's coat of arms stands out on the façade bearing the symbols of the cross and bees.
Inside, the spectacular staircase and an elegant hall with coffered ceiling; in the upper doors there are paintings that represent the excellent products of the territory.
