Church of San Giuseppe in Cassibile
The Church of San Giuseppe in Cassibile, being the ancient church of the rural village now deconsecrated, is the only place open to worship in the city.
The church is dedicated to San Giuseppe Lavoratore, patron saint of Cassibile, and was built after World War II.
The facade has a modern and sober style, characterized by a brick wall paved with white stone. The portal is rectangular in shape and surmounted by a triangular tympanum.
The interior has a single nave decorated with works of contemporary sacred art including the statue of Saint Joseph the Worker carrying Baby Jesus in his arms.
Behind the church there is the Bell Tower and a small garden which serves as a urban green space.
