Balata in Marzamemi
The Balata di Marzamemi is the second small port of Marzamemi and represents a nerve center both from an economic point of view and for nightlife.
The term "Balata" derives from the Arabic "balad" and refers to the stone slabs of the ancient pavement. La Balata is made up of two large rooms, the “Old Factory” and the “Casa Cappuccio”.
In particular, starting from the end of July, Balata comes alive with life and hosts the famous International Frontier Film Festival.
