Town Hall Building in Melilli
The Town Hall of Melilli stands on the site of the monastery and church of San Paolo Apostolo, founded in 1595. Following the royal decree of 1866, the monastery was suppressed and the monastery, church and garden were sold to the Municipal Administration.
The Palace was built using the gravel of the Pirrere di San Giovanni and San Sebastiano and was inaugurated in 1888. In 1907 the works, which had affected the pavement of the square, the staircase, the tower were delivered of the clock, the balustrade and two splendid fountains, removed after the 1990 earthquake.
