The Monumental Water Tank is a monument of industrial archeology which was a rarity for the area in the 1900s. Melilli, was the only Sicilian municipality that in 900 had the mechanical water distribution and today it can boast the primacy of "the only Sicilian city" to still have a specimen in excellent condition, an attraction that welcomes many visitors every year.
