The city was rebuilt following the earthquake of 1693, which razed ancient Noto to the ground, following an elegant urban project that has made it today a surreal place for the harmony of its forms.
Noto is the garden of golden stone for its enchanting and aristocratic atmosphere with warm tones given by the honey-colored stone.
