Antonino Uccello House Museum
The Antonino Uccello House Museum in Palazzolo Acreide collects oral traditions, objects, tools and artifacts of the old peasant civilization, which has now disappeared.
The museum is housed in the elegant eighteenth-century residence of the Ferla-Bonelli .
Inside the museum space is placed ethnographic material, a valuable collection of paintings on glass, nativity figurines, posters of the puppet opera, trousseau objects and wax figurines.
In this astonishing context is the reconstruction of some rooms: the "casa restari", where the common activities of the farmer took place, from baking, using the wood oven and all the tools needed for this operation, to the production of ricotta and cheese, using “a furnacella” and “a tuccena”, to weaving through the use of the pedal loom and spinning tools; The "maiazzè" where food and work tools were kept; The oil mill rebuilt on the existing model in an environment of the building.
