The Museum of Working Informatics was born in 1994 from an idea of Gabriele Zaverio to collect old computers in order to reuse them.
Museum of Functioning Informatics is a place where to preserve, repair, preserve, digitize and share on the network a heritage made up of hardware but also of documentation, software, wiring diagrams, books and media of various types. For several years, obsolete hardware has been collected, restored and put back into operation, in order to preserve the history of IT as much as possible: computers saved from landfills, or donated by visitors and sympathizers, are cleaned, repaired, tested and refurbished. .
It is possible to visit the museum by reservation only to participate in a guided tour.
