Impellizzeri Palace in Syracuse
The Palazzo Impellizzeri is located in Ortigia , in one of its oldest and most evocative streets characterized by noble houses with a Baroque appearance, with bold and original architecture: via della Maestranza. < br> The residence dates back to 1894 and is in Rococo style , as confirmed by the frieze above the main balcony. The façade has an entablature, decorated with floral motifs and human faces on the cornice. On the internal polychrome flooring, there are the coats of arms of the families and the letter "G" which indicates belonging to the Loggia. On the façade there are windows and balconies with sinuous lines.
The building is the seat of the Faculty of Architecture and hosts various contemporary art exhibitions.
