Grotto of San Paolo in Solarino
The Grotto of San Paolo in Solarino is one of the sites of interest known as Pauline places because it is linked to the cult and tradition of the Patron Saint Saint Paul the Apostle.
It is a natural underground cavity with a circle where there was a small source of water. This place has considerable value from a religious point of view because, according to tradition, Saint John the Apostle found shelter here during his wanderings. In this cave the wooden statue of the Saint, currently kept in the mother church, a bowl, a wooden spoon and a saucepan were found.
