Well of San Paolo in Solarino
The Well of San Paolo in Solarino is one of the sites of interest known as Pauline places because it is linked to the cult and tradition of the Patron Saint Saint Paul the Apostle.
It is a deep spring water well about 8 meters. The well is protected by a rectangular puteal which, according to popular tradition, bears the footprint of St. Paul which caused the water to flow from the ground. Also according to tradition, this water would be thaumaturgical and, by the will of St. Paul, will never run out. To this day the well, which was a source of supply until 1927, the year in which the water network was inaugurated, is still active.
