Calamosche Beach
The Calamosche beach is the most famous among those of the Riserva di Vendicari .
Calamosche is a sandy cove that extends for about 200 meters, bordered by two rocky promontories that shelter the currents. The sea, protected by the two promontories, is always calm and crystalline.
This beach is very suitable for snorkeling: the cliff on the sides of the golfetto, where the deep seabed, has caves, cavities and ravines that host a varied fauna marina.
Direct access to this beach is guaranteed by a dedicated entrance. Once you arrive at the equipped car park, you have to take a path of about one kilometer.
In 2005, the Calamosche beach was awarded the title " Most beautiful beach in Italy " by the Blue Guide of Legambiente.
